Transformation-Knowledge Towards a Gender-Equitable and Sustainable Use of Biodiversity

BioDIVA conducts inter- and transdisciplinary research on land-use change and agrobiodiversity in South India.

The aim is to generate transformation knowledge that enables local land users and decision makers to assess the current situation and devise strategies for future land resource use.

The interactions between social, economic, ecological and institutional processes in the context of rice-biodiversity in the Western Ghats of Kerala, South India are examined.

National Level Dialogue Workshop in Chennai: September 2nd-4th, 2013

Under the title "Transdisciplinary research on agrobiodiversity and land use change" the BioDIVA national level dialogue workshop will be held at M S Swaminathan Research Foundation (MSSRF) in Chennai, India.

Master’s Thesis to complement BioDIVA research project

On June 4th 2013 Master Student from the University of Sustainable Development in Eberswalde, Germany, presented his research proposal to the BioDIVA team in Hannover.
